I have just been to my friend’s house and she has a pair of lovely wood burning stoves in her kitchen and sitting room. The house was so lovely and cosy with them both burning and they created a lovely focal point for the room. So many people have a television which they stare at but it was so nice to look at the fire and make patterns out of the fire and the gas logs. It was lovely to just sit there and chat without a television disturbing us and drink wine and eat cheese and fruit. It was almost romantic, although there was a big group of us and it has made me wonder whether I should try to make a lovely feature like this in my house and have some nice fireplace accessories as well to make it a lovely feature in the way that they did. I know that it will be quite an expensive undertaking but I think that it will be worth it if it makes things as cosy as their house was. I will look into it anyway and I can start saving up and then choose the particular look and design that I would like once I have started to get some money together for it.
