Tools for Aircraft Repair

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Flights are unlike ordinary vehicles their design and structure is unique. Aircraft tooling is quite difficult and it requires special tools. These tools will help in installation, removal and maintenance of flight parts. Plane tools vary from flight to flight. The tools used for repairing the flight depend on the company who built the aircraft. Most of the aircraft shops supply tools based on the type of flight.

Many tools are used in repairing the aircraft engine parts. Some of the common tools available in market are drilling machines, EMR guns, aircraft assembly fixtures and aircraft engineering devices.

Software also acts as a tool in aircraft repair. Today the technology has created easier ways for repairing the flights; most of the aviation companies are using software robots for cutting, drilling and installation of aircraft parts. Good aviation software has the ability to accurately estimate the structure and shape of the aircraft. If it can capture the design perfectly, building the aircraft will be easy.

Besides the tools required for carrying general operations, pilots also require some special tools for carrying out flight operations inside. All these tools can be bought from a good pilot shop. Most of the pilot shops offer required equipments like GPS systems, Maps, Goggles, Toggle watches, etc, for pilots.

Why don’t they make planes out of the same material, as they use for the black boxes?

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

They care more about what’s being said and done on a plane instead of the people on the plane..

………………..

the black box is designed to withstand the impact of a crash, the airplane has to be light enough for it to fly. besides it would not matter if the plane did not brake apart the impact would kill you

Is it legal to drive a scooter in Maui at age 15?

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

My grandparents and parents used to go to Hawaii every year.. literally about.. 15 times in their lives.
So our family is going in February, and they’ve been giving me mixed signals about driving a scooter there… some say you can, others say you can’t.
It is a state of America, which means they probably have the same driving laws as the rest of them..
I just wanted to clarify. Please supply a source for proof.

Yes it is legal to drive/ride a scooter/moped in Hawaii…provided that you at age 15, have a drivers permit.

Is underage driving practice illegal on private property?

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Hi, I’m 14, turning 15 in two weeks, and I want to practice driving to be better prepared for getting my license. There is an industrial center in my city with an extremely large parking lot. On sundays it is completely empty. Would it be illegal to practice driving with full parental supervision? I am not looking to drive unsafely and have fun (I cool that fever down with go karting :D), but only to gain experience. Also, I live in Southern California, and I am sure the parking lot is private property. I have seen other teens practicing driving there too, but I wanted to make sure it is within the law.
Thanks for your help!

Driving on private property with public access (like Kmart parking lot, etc.) is illegal without a license.

Driving on completely private LAND with NO public access (like your own yard) is legal with or without license.

…………..

It would probably not be a problem, as long as it’s a time when there is no other traffic. When my sister and I were young Dad would take us to a large, empty parking lot on winter days so we could learn to drive on ice and snow. It was a lot of fun because he would encourage us to spin the car just to learn how to recover. Usually, it’s OK to do such things on a Sunday.

……………..

I did that before I got my permit, I used to work with my mom, so when we worked till closing she would let me bring the car around( parking lot was in the back). That’s how I learned, no adult supervision, not that I recommend you do that.
Good luck, just don’t get caught. You’re only in trouble if you get caught

Need a suv what do you suggest?

Friday, June 13th, 2008

we are looking for a SUV But dont know what to get. I Like the mazda tributes so something in that category??

My sister has a chevy equinox and likes it. I personally like the GMC Acadia, and have heard good reviews about them. I buy domestic cars only because it hurts the US to buy foreign cars. Its a personal thing. I kind of like the Ford Edge, but my wife doesn’t.

Shop around, get what you like the best. You could probably find a good used SUV pretty cheap right now.

…………….

The Mazda Tribute is a good SUV. You can also look at the Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner for comparison. All three are made by Ford and Mazda on the same assembly line. I have a hybrid model and am very happy with it.

……….

Acura MDX…. i had it for over 3 years and i love it so much…… get it trust me on this go to acura.com

Auto Insurance

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

The internet is a great resource that makes it easier than ever before to find affordable auto insurance. There are some clever tips you can use to help get the coverage you need, without having to spend too much. Your deductible is the amount you pay when you make a claim before your insurance company pays. Raising your deductible is the best way to keep your annual insurance costs down. You can also choose to drop your collision or comprehensive insurance if your car is not worth that much to begin with. That is because the amount you pay for the deductible plus the amount you pay for the insurance may be more than the value of the car itself.

If you buy a lower profile vehicle you can also receive coverage at a lower rate. This is because high value vehicles are often common targets for theft, or are just more expensive to repair so they will generally cost more to insure. When shopping for health insurance you should pay careful attention to which doctors and hospitals are part of your provider network. You should also take note of any limitations on pre-existing conditions or waiting periods before your coverage begins.

Which is best bike in 125cc segment?

Monday, October 15th, 2007

1. Yamaha, Honda is a close second

2. don’t buy a 125 steet bike, its too much underpowered

3. It is basically depending upon the how much stylish you are…
price of shine is comparatively high as compare to star city
I have star city since 2 years & average of it is about 75-80….& its look is so good ..discover is costly as compare to
star city…….
I am not supporting star city since i have.but if you are belonging to middle class family it is the best bike to buy?????

4. #1 - Yamaha
#2 - KTM
#3 - Honda
#4 Kawasaki
#5 Suzuki

All else wish they were this good

5. KTM and Yamaha make the best 125cc bikes….

6. Go for a discover or shine………..bt i think bajaj should be the first choice…..

7. Go for TVS if Mileage issue is serious. In case you can bear a little, go for Discover (its got the looks with a modest average).

Also check out the new Bajaj XCD-125… Its average is bound to be mind boggling…

8. If you are a tall guy, then go for the gladiator. Otherwise, the discover it is. Do check out the xcd 125 though.

If your in a car driving, and a tornado starts to form. what do u do?

Friday, September 14th, 2007

Actually, the underpass thing is not recommended. The people in Kansas that everyone saw survive were lucky they were hit by a weak tornado. The major F-5 Oklahoma City tornado killed many under underpasses with either 300 mph wind-blown debris or sucked them out like a vacuum and blew them across the landscape.

If you can see the tornado, and it is heading away from you… just sit tight. If it is heading toward you, and you have the time, drive away from it at right angles. Example, if it is heading North, travel east or west. If it is too close, find safety below ground if possible, or in the nearest depression. Do not stay in your car, as it will be tossed around with you in it.

Otherwise, for more info from the National Weather Service, please read the info at the link below.

Main thing, when the weather is threatening… stay alert and stay informed.
